The Global Partners Nicaragua group departed VERY early on March 10th. The change to daylight savings time had us up at 1:30 AM. Did I mention that the time changed at 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM? The bright eyed and luggage loaded group left for the airport at 3:15 AM. Upon check in 3 lucky people scored First Class seats! That is perhaps a sign of things to come as we experience a the first rate experience we will have!
And if you are wondering who those three lucky people were….

Finally anesthesiology is being recognized! Dr. Bottcher and myself along with (being married to an anesthesiology provider) was upgraded to first class. We felt bad as we had service before everyone was seated and then a full breakfast complete with white linens. But as we looked to back to see the surgeons sitting way, way in the back, all the guilt went away. There was one drawback, with all the drinks they kept giving us we had to get up and go to the bathroom often. It was tough, but we persevered.
The surgery team headed straight for La Dalia after the long flight. A beautiful drive up the mountains, with a stop to fix a flat tire.
